Interclub matches-weekend of 15//16 August and update to Covid Procedures

11 Aug 2020

Dear DTs Members,

We are pleased to update you that interclub cricket matches have now been given the go ahead and that we have two fixtures planned for this weekend;

  • Saturday 15 August vs Watsonians 3s (Away at Myreside- T20 format)
  • Sunday 16 August vs Grange (Away at Raeburn Place, 30 over per side)

and two matches each Saturday for the 3 weekends following. Further details are now on the website, so those of you interested in playing could you please update your availability. We hope to get as many members a game as possible-if we have more than 22 members available this weekend anyone missing out will be given priority for next weekend.

There have been some small updates to playing guidance, so I have attached a slightly changed Quick Guide to our Club Covid Procedures. The key additions are the following;

  • Travel to and from the venue must not mix households i.e. no car sharing
  • No spectators are permitted except for parents or guardians of vulnerable adults

Cricket Scotland are also encouraging all club players and officials to read this short online e-learning course which provides general information on staying safe and specific information on inter-club fixtures. The course can be found at ( https://commercial097.wixsite.com/covid-19). It is short and has focused sections depending on whether you are a player/official/Covid Monitor etc so is well worth a look.

Just to confirm the details of subs for the matches this summer can be found below;

The committee has agreed the following sub structure for these games.

Membership Fee:  £1

Match Fee:   £4

We are suggesting a token membership fee for both new members and past members renewing there membership for 2020. This allows us to keep track of players playing in these fixtures as members of Drummond Trinity Cricket Club. We are keeping the suggested match fee lower then what we have charged for T20 matches in the past to cover only basic costs and allow a healthy participation in the fixtures arranged.

We also strongly encourage members participating in these fixtures to pay their match fees and membership fee directly to Drummond Trinity account below. This practice will avoid any unnecessary handling of cash.

Hope this is all clear, if you have any questions about paying subs don't hesitate to contact Basil or Shehzad, any questions about playing procedure contact the Covid Office (Tom), or any of the captains (Uday, Mahesh, DK)

cheers

Tom
