Drummond Trinity Covid-19 Policies and Procedures Summer 2020

31 Jul 2020

Dear Members of Drummond Trinity Cricket Club,

As you will have seen in the message from DK yesterday, we are delighted to confirm that the DTs will be playing some cricket this summer, beginning with an intraclub friendly tomorrow (details on the website).

To ensure that these matches can take place in as safe an environment as possible the club has its own Covid Officer (Tom Turpie) who has carried out a Risk Assessment of our home ground (Inverleith Park), and we are following Cricket Scotland guidelines to the letter. Those guidelines have been attached to this email and I have also added a short At a Glance Guide for all officials and players. You must read this (and ideally the CS guide) before tomorrow's match, or any games that you take part in this summer.

Some of the new playing conditions will be familiar to you from media coverage of the recent England-West Indies Test Series (not using saliva on the ball etc), but other aspects will be less so (no changing rooms, so turn up for the game ready or change in your car, using your own kit as much as possible for example), so please read it thoroughly and ask questions if you have any.

By taking part in any Drummond Trinity Cricket Club matches this summer you agreement to the following statements and conditions will be assumed;

I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that NHS Scotland still recommends practicing social distancing.
I further acknowledge that Drummond Trinity Cricket Club has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

I attest that:
* I am not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
* I have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days
* I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
* I have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.
* I am following all NHS Scotland recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.

I look forward to seeing some of you at Inverleith over the next month or so, if anyone has any questions (or would like to see the Risk Assessment) do not hesitate to get in touch with me or any of the club officials.

cheers

Tom Turpie (Secretary, Drummond Trinity Cricket Club)
