Hi All,
First and foremost, well done to everyone associated with Drummond Trinity for a fabulous Midweek Cup Campaign so far this season. Drummond Trinity have maintained a 100% record so far in Cup competitions and find themselves in ONE Final, ONE Semi Final and ONE Quarter Final across the 3 competitions they have participated in. This is down to the good work and strong efforts of:
- Everyone that has made themselves available for cup games
- Midweek Committee for organising, arranging (and in cases when games have been cancelled due to rain), re-arranging fixtures and taking into consideration the congested schedule to plan accordingly
- Players who have sacrificed their availability to let others play (and I know there's been quite of a few you who have been kind enough to do this!)
- Senior members for taking on on field & off field responsibility including match day preparation for home fixtures in particular
- Newer players for the additional enthusiasm, energy and passion brought to the Club
- individuals that have gone the extra mile (in a literal sense!) to pick/drop members from their work locations out of the way
- and all DT members who have popped down to see the team play even when they may not be playing themselves
And off course all the players who have made really good contributions when bowling, batting, and fielding during our victories and maintaining a positive attitude.
Upcoming Fixtures
DT have an upcoming Semi Final in the Terrence Newcombe Trophy on Monday, 18th July at Newfield (Grass wicket). This is a great opportunity for us to reach a Final of a tournament we won 3 years ago. Please update your availability for this at your earliest convenience as this fixture is now on the website.
DT have also reached their first ever Final of the Parks Trophy having defeated Scottish Widows yesterday in the Semis. The fixture and exact date of the Final will be confirmed over the next few days and put up on the website and an email will be circulated as an additional reminder.
Lastly, good luck to everyone playing in tomorrow's ActivCity Quarter Final vs Tranent and to the 1s and 2s on Saturday. Let's all get behind DT and enjoy the second half of the season!
