Nets- Covid Guidance and Key Principles

27 Apr 2021

Dear Members of Drummond Trinity Cricket Club,

With outdoor nets starting tomorrow, two intraclub friendlies lined up at Inverleith Park on 8 and 15 May (time TBC) and a League fixture list in the process of being finalised by ESCA (see latest update Covid-19 Information Centre – ESCA (eastleague.org.uk), the new season is just around the corner.

As a club we are working hard to ensure that this season will be as safe as we can possibly make it- but some responsibility also lies with you, the player. So we have put together an at a glance guide to the Covid-19 procedures that we will be following during Outdoor Nets this season (I will send out a similar guide for matches before 8 May). If you are coming to nets please make sure that you indicate this on the website (using the Availability section), and read the attached guidance before attending.

The Key Principles are as follows;

1. Travel to and from club venues must not mix households, i.e. no car sharing.

2. Physical distancing must be maintained for adults and young people 12 years and over before and after activity.

3. Maximum bubble of 30 per match including coaches and officials.

4. Clubhouses should remain closed, toilets can be open.

5. No spectators permitted except for parents or carers.

6. We recommend using your own equipment if possible.

7. No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.

8. Wash hands at home before and after using the outdoor facilities. Bring your own hand sanitiser where possible.

If you have any questions about this, do not hesitate to get in touch with me (the Club Covid Officer), or the Covid Monitor (who will make themselves known to you on the day).

cheers

Tom Turpie (Club Secretary, Drummond Trinity CC)
