2021 Fixtures, Match Day Covid Guidance and 10 May Committee Meeting

07 May 2021

Dear Members of Drummond Trinity Cricket Club,

ESCA have completed the League (Saturday) fixture list for the 2021 season, with competitive matches for all 4 DTs 11s commencing on 22 May. Some of these have been added to the website already, others will be soon. The schedule for the Sunday Development league has also been finalised- we will have 6 fixtures on Sundays in June, July and August- these are 30 over games, played in a friendly spirit and designed to give everyone a chance to have a go, regardless of ability (or rustiness!).

With the new season fast approaching the DTs are keen to ensure that we play in as safe an environment as possible. I have completed a risk assessment for our home ground (Inverleith) which will be available for all members to view on the club website. I have also attached to this email at a glance guide to Club Covid-19 Policies and Procedures Summer 2021 for all Players and Officials. It has not changed much from last season, but please take time to read over this two-page document so that you are clear on your responsibilities as players and what the Covid Monitors, Captains and other club officials will be doing to keep everyone as safe as possible. I have also attached a quick guide provided by Cricket Scotland.

Finally, we have a Club Committee Meeting scheduled for Monday 10 May (7pm via Zoom). The Agenda is attached. As always, all members are welcome to attend, whether they are on the committee or not, if you would like to be there please contact me or another committee member and we will forward you the Zoom code for the meeting.

If you have any queries about any of this do not hesitate to get in touch with me or any of the captains.

Otherwise good luck with the new season, and I hope to see as many of you over the course of the next few months as possible (when spectators are allowed again) at Inverleith and elsewhere

cheers

Tom Turpie (Drummond Trinity Secretary)
