In the final weekend of the league season, both teams finished on a high with comprehensive victories against their respected opponents.
The 1s clinched promotion and finished up as Champions of 3 with a thumping win against Broomhall. A clinical all round performance by all the batsmen, characterised by regular partnerships, and a solid bowling/fielding display ensured the 1s won by a massive margin of 150 runs, having score 214 for 9 off 40 overs and then bowling out Broomhall for 64. A thrilling way to wrap up what has been a rollercoaster season for the 1s and just reward for the Positivity, Passion and Perseverance throughout the season with everyone working towards a common goal!
The 2s wrapped up the season with a resounding win by 10 wickets over Glenrothes in a one sided contest. Having bowled out the Glens for 125 with every single bowler picking up wickets, (with a special mention for the evergreen duo of Grant and Steve!), the 2s chased down the target without losing any wickets, both openers reaching 50s and Coolio outscoring Keith!!! Well done to both batsmen who have had brilliant personal seasons with the bat and formed a solid opening combination for the 2s! Well done to the 2s for playing with only 9 men and still putting up a great show!
