Dear Members of Drummond Trinity CC,
I hope you have been enjoying what has been an, unusually, dry season so far with lots of strong performances by the Saturday, Sunday and midweek teams.
As some of you will be aware an opposition player from the 2s fixture last weekend tested positive for Covid shortly after the game. Thankfully he is now well, all the DTs players involved have since had negative tests and NHS contact tracers did not consider them to be close contacts. This positive outcome was due in no small part to the various Covid regulations that we currently have in place, and their rigorous enforcement by Hassan and the boys during that fixture. This is a timely reminder of why these regulations (no teas, changing rooms etc) exist, and that we must remain vigilant over the next few weeks, particularly as numbers of infections are quite high in our region. Well done to all those involved and please be assured by this that we have measures in place to keep all playing members as safe as possible.
We must also say well done to the midweek team who won their quarter final in the Parks Trophy against Bass Rock- we now face Edinburgh South in the Semi-Final, looking to defend a trophy that we hold after winning it in 2019.
