It was mixed fortunes for the DTs on the first day of season 2017. Depending on a heavy influx of new players - the 1s struggled at Arboretum where Holy Cross posted a score of 201-9 which proved too much for the DTs who managed only 98 in reply. Kiran and Sreekanth both took 3 wickets and Naveen top scored with 29.
In another away fixture at nearby Leith Links the 2s fared better restricting the home side to only 54 on a green and bouncy grass track. In a peculiar second innings which included 4 ducks the DTs were seen home by a pugnacious 44 not out by Keith and won by 6 wickets.
