Dear Members of Drummond Trinity CC,
With the season approaching this is an appeal for volunteers to help with two key elements of the club's plans for the 2023 season.
Outdoor Nets
The Committee are minded to organise outdoor nets at Newfield on Wednesdays in May and June (as we have done in the last few seasons), but in the past it has been difficult to find enough committee members (who are very busy with league and cup fixtures at that time) to take responsibility for organising each week. This organisation includes the, not too onerous, task of collecting and returning the kit to Inverleith, keeping a list of attendees and making sure everyone gets a bat. We are looking for one volunteer for each week to organise those elements of the session- If we do not get enough volunteers we will not be holding outdoor nets this year.
New Club Social Committee
We are also putting together a new Social Committee to organise the small number of club events that take place each year. Gurjeet has kindly agreed to arrange the event on 15 April, so the first event the committee needs to work on will be a club social in July.
Like all voluntary organisations, the DTs functions because lots of people contribute small amounts (and sometimes rather more) of their time- if you can help out with the Social Committee and/or are available to help for one Wednesday (or more) in May and June at the Outdoor nets, please can you let me know or post your willingness in the club Whatsapp group.
